Toni is a singer, dancer, choreographer and actor. Toni is trained in Modern Ballet, Flamenco, Afro-Cuban, Greek, Hula, African and Praise and Worship Dance. She is the Founder of ‘Toni Nation’ band/ Latin Jazz Ensemble. Toni has remarkable credentials in Australian Film including, Mad Max “Beyond Thunderdome,” and “Fast Talking.” Toni lives in Sydney and makes regular appearances with the Latin Jazz Ensemble, Espirito. She has worked with great Australian artists such as, Paul Kelley, Vince Jones, Marcia Hines, INXS, and the Australian Art Orchestra. Toni has also worked in theatre with Geoffrey Rush and Nigel Jamieson. Toni Nation toured Philippines, Singapore and Jamaica. She has performed at the JUTE Theatre (Cairns) and at the Brisbane Performing Arts Center. This is her premier appearance with Tribe of Jubal, following from recording the debut album.
Vanessa Quai
Vanessa is from Ndui Ndui, West Ambae, in the Penama Province of the Republic of Vanuatu and is one of the South Pacific’s most accomplishedsinger/songwriter. She is of mixed parentage (Fiji and Vanuatu) and was raised by her step-mum, Christina from West Ambae. She has been performing since she was 13 and at the age of 17, she won the RTV Golden Stag International Music Festival Award in Romania. In 2004, she performed for Pacific Leaders at Australia’s Annual Prayer Breakfast for Leaders, hosted by Prime Minister Hon. John Howard. She won competitions in Egypt, Bulgaria and Italy. Vanessa has released six albums and has performed throughout the Pacific where she has a large fan-base. Vanessa was recently made a ‘Goodwill Ambassador’ by Vanuatu and played at various fundraising events in Solomon Islands for the 2007 Tsunami relief efforts. In September, Vanessa will be celebrating Ten Years of her musical career in Vanuatu.
